Designed for pilots - by pilots!
Logbook is designed and developed by airline pilots. The product comes with excellent technical support and we listen to our customers’ wishes.Relational Database
Under the hood, logbook uses an industrial-strength relational database engine. This ensures data integrity, performance and flexibility.Flexible time formats
You can use Hours : Minutes or Hours . Decimals time formats. Both formats support flights with durations exceeding 24 hours. If you use the Hours . Decimals format, you can choose the number of decimals. Logbook is designed so that there wil not be any round-off differences when you compare your computer logbook with your paper logbook.Customizable fonts and colours
Logbook now lets you customize it’s appearance - you can choose fonts and colours for the grid showing your flights.Time-saving data-entry
Logbook contains many features that make data-entry a breeze. You can setup logbook so that when you enter a new flight on the same day, it automatically copies the information from the previous flight, saving you a lot of time. You can quickly change the date of a flight by pressing the + or - key; you only have to type the last two characters of the registration of the aircraft - e.g. ‘CD’ and logbook finds the corresponding aircraft e.g. ‘G-ABCD’; Once you start typing the name of the other pilot, autocomplete will complete it for you.You can now configure Logbook to ‘jump’ to the next field when typing in information - and Logbook can skip fields for which you have entered default values - saving you even more time!
Automatic backups and backup reminders
Logbook can remind you to backup your
data at specified intervals. You can even tell it to
automatically backup your information to an FTP server
on the internet for safe off-site storage.
Import and export functionality
Logbook can Import information from delimited text files.
The program can export your flights to the following file formats:
Microsoft® Excel™; Text; HTML; XML. Logbook will not lock you in with a proprietary file format.
Automatic calculation of day- and night times
Based on the latitude/longitude information in the airport database, the program works out what part of the flight took place during daylight and what part took place during night. You can configure how long after or before sunset/sunrise night starts. Logbook also works out whether take-offs and landings took place during day or night, so all you have to do is enter the IATA (or ICAO) codes and block times, and logbook does the rest.Powerful grouping and filtering
Logbook uses MS-Excel style filters, so you just select criteria to filter on from a drop-down list, or, alternatively, specify custom filters. You can group on any column - an you can even group on multiple columns! These features allow you to quickly answer questions such as ’how many hours have I flown on jets over 40.000 Kg in the past 6 years?’.
JAR Printouts
Logbook Prints JAR-Style logbook pages, with full filtering functionality. Printouts contain all the standard JAR logbook columns.
Extensive database of airports
The software comes with a database containing information for over 9000 airports, and it is easy to add your own!
