Frequently Asked Questions

The Software has reverted to demonstration mode:

This can happen if you make substantial changes to your hardware. Sometimes this can also occur if you connect equipment (such as network adapters) into different USB ports. The solution is to re-activate the software, as described below.

I want to re-activate the software on a new computer:

You can re-activate the software as follows:
  1. Make sure your computer is connected to the internet.
  2. Run the software and select 'Activate' from the 'Help' menu. The eSellerate wizard should appear. (If the eSellerate wizard does not appear, download and re-install the software or contact our support team for help).
  3. Press and hold the 'Alt' key on your keyboard. This changes the 'Start' button into a 'Re-install' button.
  4. The eSellerate wizard asks for your order ID and your email address. Your order ID consists of the letters 'ST' followed by eight digits. Please use the same email address you used when you purchased the software. Please contact us if you do not know any of the required information.

The restore function on versions prior to 2.8.0.9 does not work on Windows Vista:

We recommend you download the latest version as this issue has now been fixed.
To use the restore function on a computer running Windows Vista, you will have to temporarily run the software as administrator. You can do this by right-clicking the program icon and selecting ‘Run as administrator’ from the popup menu as per the following example:
